Science and Engineering Buildings Commissioning

VES teamed with Interface Engineering to provide commissioning services for five science and engineering laboratories and classroom buildings on the UIC campus.

The project goals were to recommission systems that were not performing satisfactorily upon completion of construction and initial commissioning. In addition, the project brought value to the University by identifying issues with the building automation system programming and equipment that was not functioning as designed.

Included in the scope of work was commissioning of lab supply and exhaust air terminal units, fume hoods and terminal units, lab pressurization control, terminal reheat coils and control valves, chilled beams and controls, and a new chiller.
