Due to our ongoing partnership with 845 Design Group, VES was awarded the Legoland Discovery Center Cafe renovation project.

VES provided MEP/FP engineering. In addition, this multi-disciplinary team of designers renovated the existing café, dining room, and private party room on the second floor of the Legoland Discovery Center in Schaumburg.

The client was looking to enhance the experience of the café for patrons by increasing efficiency of the order/pick-up, introducing the full Starbucks menu, upgrading the design aesthetic to reflect the new branding, and create an unforgettable experience for those renting out the private party room.

In working collaboratively with the client, general contractor, and the corporate design standards, a fun, safe, and efficient café environment was delivered under budget and within the same footprint as the existing café, all while keeping the facility operational during construction. Due to the project's scope, much of the work was conducted overnight and early morning for the safety of Legoland guests.
