Gately Stadium, The Chicago Park District’s largest indoor track & field arena, includes an 8-lane, 200-meter hydraulically banked track and a full range of track and field event capabilities, including long jump, high jump, a dedicated throwing cage, and eight sprint lanes. The facility has a spectator capacity of 3,500. The project also includes multi-purpose rooms, locker rooms, concessions and incorporates a 30,000 SF wing for the After School Matters program for children in the community.

VES provided MEP/FP consultant engineering plans as the Engineer of Record.  VES also completed LEED energy modeling for MEP/FP systems certification for LEED v4 Certified rating, including demonstrating EAp2 compliance, LEED online documentation for all MEP-related credits, coordination with commissioning agent, and all other calculations and research needed. Services also included providing pathway lighting around entire the entire site for pedestrians.
