Mr. Dickie has over 26 years of architectural and project management experience.  Project expertise includes health care, commercial, institutional and higher education program types.  Detailed working knowledge of all phases of the project design and delivery process - due diligence through project turn over. Capabilities include running multi-discipline project teams, client/stakeholder interface, scheduling/budgeting, and staff supervision.  Actively participates in firm wide business development activities and relationship building.  Credentials include professional licensure in Illinois and Missouri, membership in the American Institute of Architects, NCARB certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, LEED AP accreditation, and Lean Yellow Belt certification.

University of Chicago Medical Center, Mitchell Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for the 5,000SF lobby and public restroom renovations with extensive ADA upgrades.

 

Advocate Trinity Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for the 9,000SF GI expansion and renovation project. The program included the renovation of four procedure rooms and expansion of the patient holding/recovery area.  The project features the generous use of natural light in all spaces, enhanced interior finishes, and generous staff amenities.

 

Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for a new 3T MRI Suite located within the existing imaging center. Of note is the introduction of the Caring Suite patient environment within the MRI room created by PDC.

 

Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Hazel Crest, Illinois. Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for a new 3T MRI Suite located within the existing imaging center.

 

Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for a series of imaging equipment replacements with associated renovations and upgrades.  Two CT units, two fluoroscopes, and a single-plane fluoroscopy unit for stent procedures were included in the program.

 

Mt. Sinai Hospital – Sinai Tomorrow Project, Chicago, Illinois. Project Manager and Senior Project Architect

New Inpatient Pavilion, 220,000 SF patient tower addition & facility renovations located on the main campus and the New Ambulatory Care Center, 200,000 SF new outpatient medical center located north of the main campus

University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. Project Manager for Facilities Standards II (FS2) creation and implementation of the University’s facility standards for design and construction including annual updates beginning in 2012 through 2015.

 

University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois.  Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for the Jones Hall IME Research Lab for Professor Awschalom.  The new laser laboratory is located on the lower level of the historic quadrangle building and included extensive utility and infrastructure upgrades to provide best-in-class research space.  Laboratory research activities include optical and magnetic interactions in semiconductor quantum structures, spin dynamics and coherence in condensed matter systems, macroscopic quantum phenomena in nanometer-scale magnets, and implementations of quantum information processing in the solid state.

 

University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois.  Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for the Tokmakoff OC Research Lab.  The Tokmakoff research team uses ultrafast vibrational spectroscopy to study the molecular dynamics of chemical reactions in solution and biological processes.  The program included extensive utility and infrastructure upgrades to provide best-in-class research space.

 

Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.  Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for the Gastroenterology Laboratory Department (Outpatient and Inpatient) renovation.  The program called for the creation of three new GI procedure rooms, one new GI procedure room with fluoroscopy and general upgrades.

 

Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.  Project Manager for the new Outpatient Imaging Center, 40,000 SF MRI/CT imaging and diagnostic center.  The program featured the creation of best in class patient amenities, women’s health, and diagnostic imaging.

 

University of Chicago, Booth Graduate School of Business: Chicago, Illinois.  Construction Change Management and Project Management for new 470,000 SF graduate school facility.  Responsibilities also included oversight of building activation and commercial kitchen installation.

 

Comer Foundation, Chicago, Illinois. Project Manager/Owner’s Representative for the 78,000sf Gary Comer’s Youth Center, youth center for the South Shore Drill Team.  The program called for creation of a sports, learning, and performing arts facility for the benefit of the community.

 

Hewlett Packard Corporation, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.  Project Manager and Senior Project Architect for the Print Head Manufacturing (PHM) expansion and renovation.  The program was executed in two phases over two and a half years and included 180,000SF of new and renovated space.
