Director of Technology


Mr. Olson has over 18 years of experience in the MEP industry, as a production software specialist and programmer. Of his 20+ Software certifications, the Revit MEP Professional is the most rare, held by just over 300 people in the United States.


In addition to Software proficieny, Eric is also an accomplished software developer. His expereince ranges from AutoLISP and batch programming to and Objective C (iPhone) development. 


Eric served as a Bridge Crewmember / Combat Engineer and paratrooper in the US Army during operation Uphold Democracy (Haiti) and Operation Joint Endeavor (Bosnia). He recieved an honorable discharge from active duty.

Project Experiences:


Eric has hundereds of BIM projects completed under his leadership. Some of his larger contributions have come on these projects:


American Airlines JFK terminal - HVAC Load calculations and layout design for all 37 gates. transitioned to file coordination/manager for project team. (non-BIM)

RUSH University Medical Center – BIM leader for production team, administrator, content builder (Autodesk Building Systems platform)

Northwestern Memorial Hospital -BIM Manager *Numerous projects* - Oversaw BIM kickoff meetings for project teams, developed content, trained staff on best practices.


Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital - BIM Manager - directed bim coordinator / project team on project setup, best practices supported with custom content as required. 


Rehab Institute of Chicago (RIC) - BIM manager / direct coordination. Oversaw day to day management of BIM team, production and transfer of data.


Malcolm X College - BIM manager. Ran kickoff emeeting, Bim Execution Plan for project. Supervised BIM production team in house, and overseas via Revit Server.
